第一屆臺灣Alma使用者會議暨雲端圖書館服務平台實務研討會

近年臺灣地區使用以色列Ex Libris公司所開發Alma雲端圖書館自動化系統的大學校院愈來愈多，為建立彼此間的合作關係，促進相互間的資訊交流，並督促廠商開發與提升系統相關功能，希冀集結臺灣地區用戶所有的力量，群力向原廠尋求積極改善目前遭遇的問題。
本次會議首要推動臺灣地區Alma用戶間學術研究和技術交流的組織，召開「臺灣Alma使用者會議」，藉由Alma導入經驗及使用進行資訊溝通、工作交流、技術討論、業務互動和成員聯絡，與原廠(Ex Libris)及代理商展開協調合作，提升Alma在臺灣地區的服務品質，促進臺灣使用者的業務發展。期望拓展圖書館同道視野，更可透過聯盟會員大會加強凝聚力，建構永續及前瞻共享的合作未來。
圖書館系統雲端化已成為主流發展趨勢，雲端圖書館服務平台還能有甚麼超乎我們過去思維的想像？本次會議邀請國、內外學者專家，以實務講演模式分享Alma系統實務經驗及最新發展趨勢。歡迎國內大學校院圖書館共襄盛舉。

Dave Allen
IGeLU (International Group of Ex Libris Users) Chair
David Allen has been with the State Library of Queensland since 1982. He initially started as a programmer and is now working in Digital Preservation.
He has been active in the User Community as follows:

ANZREG (Australia and New Zealand Ex Libris) User Community from Feb 2011 to Dec 2016

IGeLU Steering Committee member (Sep 2014 to Aug 2018)

IGeLU Steering Committee Chair from Aug 2018
He is a firm advocate that a strong user community is necessary to ensure that products are developed to meet our requirements.
